What's up Wednesday

I am nominating today "What's up Wednesday."

  1. The Weight Loss Journey: Well, it's happening but slowly. The first three weeks, I only dieted and hardly lost any weight which was discouraging. On week two, my work started The Biggest Loser Challenge, and last week I gained 1 lb. I was beyond pissed when I had to hand over $4 to place into the pool of money. I never joined to win because we have crazy men who are competing and are losing weight at an unhealthy rate of 8 lbs a week. The reason I joined was because I knew I'd feel embarrassed if I gained weight and then had to fork over money. So, after that kick in the gut, I added exercise back into my days. I did 5 days of elliptical training last week, and this week I've gone back to the 30 day Shred. Click on the hyperlink to read my first encounter with Jillian Michael's last year. I will weigh in at work on Thursday and then my own Weight Watchers weigh in is on Friday. All together, I've lost 4 lbs. It's coming off slowly but sometimes that's better. And, I would be willing to bet that I'm losing inches.
  2. Tomorrow I am taking Tyler to the dermatologist because he has strange bumps on his chest. We really are not sure what they are. They don't look like a rash. It's just even hard to describe. He's had them for a while. I guess when one dermatology crisis ends another one starts in our family.
  3. Speaking of Tyler, he had a virus this past weekend. He hasn't been sick in probably a year, so I guess his name was up. He had a 102 fever and GI issues. But luckily it only lasted 48 hrs. He stayed with my MIL during the weekend when the sickness started.
  4. With only one child this past weekend, Josh and I got a lot of things done. I haven't posted about this, but we are putting our house up for sale. We have been contacting our realtor, researching financing options, cleaning, organizing, purging, power washing, and more. If all goes as scheduled, we should have it on the market by mid September. I'll post more details about it later.
  5. Work is good. I received my promotion upon returning from maternity leave. The extra money per month has been a great bonus....and is going straight towards child care for Ryan.
  6. I am definitely ready for fall. Fall clothes, fall weather, fall activities, and fall candles :)
That's what's up!

glad to catch up on your life in one post!! dont let the men discourage you b/c they lose weight faster and easier than women do...bri has lost 15 pounds (over 3 months) and i lost 2lbs in 5 weeks (doing hour work outs every morning and dieting) and then gained them back. keep up the good work!
