Well, the rash that started in the hospital and continued through three rounds of prednisone, five steroid creams, and a duration of 3 months is now finally over!
The diagnosis? Originally, we know it was PUPPS. But the rash that followed was a different one.
It could be contact dermatitis
It could be eczema.
It could be an allergic reaction.
I finally had a biopsy two weeks ago that turned out to be inconclusive and suggest it could be one of the above.
The very first prescription that was given to me I never filled because I found out that after insurance, it was still going to cost me $85. I didn’t want to spend that money if I didn’t know if it would work. Well, I finally filled it after my dermatologist gave me a rebate card to make it only $35. And guess what? It actually worked!
So, this chapter is closed hopefully for a long time. I changed to fragrance-free detergents and body washes for the time being.
Now, I’m dealing with Tyler’s heat rash…or what I’m assuming is a heat rash. It’s been there since the beach! It’s always something!
