Six Year Anniversary

Yesterday, Josh and I celebrated our six year anniversary.  And for the first time, we spent it by ourselves over night!  Our first anniversary was spent when Tyler was barely 4 weeks old.  Our second and third anniversaries I have to say I don’t remember what we did but it most likely involved Tyler!  Last year, Ryan was one week old.  So, this year Josh’s mom agreed to come watch the boys for the night while we went out to Bonefish Grill and stayed over night at the Hilton downtown. 

I must say one huge improvement Josh has made with me through the years is my ability to now branch out when ordering food.  Last night I ordered Chilean sea bass with mango salsa all on my own.    It was incredible! 

When we arrived at the Hilton, we had a little drama.  Our hall was extremely loud due to a few functions going on.  After more drama, it was clear that we needed to get away from that section.  So, management offered to put us in the Presidential Suite valued at $700 per night! Holy Moly!

What do you get for $700/night?

The Presidential Suite known as the Issac Hunter Suite is located on the Concierge floor. The suite has an oversized king bed, hid-a-way 32" plasma television. Wall mounted 48" plasma in the sitting area with dining facilities for 6ppl. Luxury linens, hardwood floor with accent rugs provide the high-end quality for your special night. Pamper yourself in our handsomely appointed bathroom with floor-to-ceiling marble, multi misting shower and French Soaking tub-perfect for soaking after a long day in the shops or meeting rooms. Wrap yourself in one of our bathrobes to culminate an experience reminiscent of a day at the spa. Each guest room features items from the Hilton Serenity Collection. The Serenity bed includes an exclusive Suite Dreams mattress and box springs, Super Topper mattress pad, down-filled comforters, Touch of Down pillows, 250 thread-count sheets along with custom decorative bed throws and bolster pillows.

The Suite had two bathrooms, a full living room and dining room, and a master suite.  Josh was over by the bed and all of a sudden got this grin like a little kid.  He picked up a remote control and out popped a flat screen TV from the foot of our bed!  He was clearly in heaven!  When we left, I asked the manager how often this suite gets used.  She told us that stars such as Reba McEntire has stayed there, and Ty Pennington from Extreme Home Makeover stayed there for a month straight. 

So we are among the stars.
