Three day weekends aren’t quite the same as they were pre-kids, but I will still take them! There are never opportunities to sleep in with Ryan in the house. Tyler actually has slept till 8 am all weekend, but Ryan….no no. Six a.m. or even before! Gah!! But really, how can you deny this face?
Josh was off Saturday and Sunday, but he had to work today. Still, we had fun doing things as a family. Saturday, we went to grab lunch and do a little shopping. We played some outside even though it was pretty warm. Ryan showed us he can walk outside on the uneven grass too. That night, we did a few fireworks with our neighbors (also Ryan’s sitter).
Sunday, we did much of the same. We headed out for lunch and then later headed out to Walmart for grocery shopping. Ryan had a majorly “off” afternoon as he decided to scream during his entire nap time. He ended up with a 45 minute nap. That evening, we watched Tangled and all really enjoyed it. I have to admit that I am not really a animated movie gal, but this movie caught my attention from the start. I had to ask Josh to pause it every time I needed to get up for something! It was really cute, and a great way to end the night.
Today, I promised Tyler to take him to the park. So, we loaded up and went after Ryan’s morning nap. We battled an hour in the heat before I couldn’t handle the heat or humidity any longer! We grabbed slushies from Sonic and came home for lunch. It is HOT!
Happy Memorial Day!
