A random hodgepodge

#1: Our work put an announcement on our Intranet stating that the popping of popcorn is now banned. "Banned" It makes me wonder how this is going to be enforced? Too funny. To back up, this is all most likely coming from the fact that most grown adults still do not understand how to pop popcorn without it burning. And when it does (burn), it not only leaves a terrible smell on the floor, but it has the potential to set off the fire alarm (which is very common) causing 900+ pissed off employees evacuate the building. So, no more will I be popping popcorn. And for the record, I never burned mine! Stop using the "popcorn" button, people!

#2: Preschool is good, but there is a problem. It is actually located in the vacinity of fast food restaurants. Shocker, I know. At least I didn't have to worry about the temptation of an easy and fast dinner at Tyler's old location! Now, every morning after I drop him off I think "one Bojangles biscuit can't be that bad!" Or when I leave with Tyler for the day and we pass Sonic (which Tyler has come to recognize as the "place with cheeseburgers"), I think "gosh, it would be so much easier since Josh is working to just pay for dinner!"

With bad comes good. I now have access to an extremely overpriced dry cleaner (who remains to be the only one found in Creedmoor), a Rite Aid, and immediate access to I-85 for work. But still, fast food....it is the devil. It will stop starting Monday.

#3: Tyler's Valentine's Day party is today at school. Can't wait to witness the waning of the sugar high today at 5:30....

#4: Josh has been offered a new unit at work, but the details are still in the works. I'll let you know when we can share more information!
