Humbled

My good friend's neighbor has learned that the baby she is carrying has Triploidy which is where the baby has an extra chromosome on every chromosome resulting in 69 chromosomes. Most babies die in utero in the 1st trimester, a smaller % die in the 2/3rd trimesters, and 1 in 10,000 babies w/ Triploidy are born at term...mostly are stillborn at that point or die almost immediatly after birth.

I don't even know her but I just feel compelled to pray for her family. I can't even imagine going through that and finding out that after thinking everything is fine, that your child will die. Very humbling and puts things in perspective.
