Josh's new position

Wake Forest PD is creating a new gang and drug unit in which Josh was asked to join. Of course, he said yes so....schedule changes! Just when I get used to one schedule! I have to say that my once pretty planner now looks battered.

He will work a schedule that looks like 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off. And rather than day vs night shifts, it will be a permanent 3pm-3am schedule. This poses good and bad for our family, but for the most part after I put the dates on the calendar, it looks like it might work out fine. We figured out it for the most part means he has every other weekend off. And, according to this schedule, he has off every holiday but Easter this year.

Tyler has really noticed his daddy being gone at work lately, so while we won't be passing each other anymore, hopefully since the days in a row Josh is working are shorter, this will help some. By passing each other, I mean that before when he was on 7-7, we'd at least see him coming and going.
