Work Baby Shower and the Coolest Product Ever

Today was my baby shower at work, and let me say that I racked up and definitely didn't expect to. I received over $200 in gift cards, bath items, a new Baby Einstein activity mat, two outfits, a baby blanket, some items from Pottery Barn Kids, baby medicine, and other toiletries. But one of the coolest gifts I got is this cool gadget pictured here.

About a month ago, I found in our "junk drawer" the sheets I created documenting when the last time Tyler ate, was changed, had medicine, etc. My mother-in-law lived with us for a while in the beginning, so we took shifts and would leave this paper out each night so that the next person would know when the last time something happened. Well, this gadget is the coolest thing ever because it's a timer that you set! I'm pasting the actual product description here:

It's about time someone created a tool to help new parents keep track of the overwhelming number of baby care details. Now someone has! ITZBEEN Baby Care Timer was invented by a new mom and dad who found themselves sleep-deprived and needing help to remember baby care details like when their baby last ate or napped. They tried charts and journals but thought there had to be a better way, so they invented one. And alas, ITZBEEN was born. The ITZBEEN Baby Care Timer is a multi-purpose tool that helps you remember the basic details of baby care. It has four timers for changing, feeding, napping and more that count up with the touch of a button! The ITZBEEN has several other helpful features including a nursing reminder switch that easily reminds mom which side baby nursed from last, a soft-glow nightlight to help parents find their way in the dark without waking the baby and a backlit display so parents can read the times and the clock in the dark. Plus, a back clip makes the ITZBEEN totally portable and allows for hands-free use of the nightlight! Awards: 2007 iParenting Media Award DadLabs.com #2 Dad Invented Product of the Year And many more rave reviews!

Hello! This makes me VERY happy!

Mckenzie gave me one for jake and it came in handy soooo much in the middle of the night when you are so tired and cannot even think about getting up and documenting anything with paper and pen. You just blindly lean over and hit the button. I used the "misc" button to record when we had to give him his reflux meds. It was really awesome!
