Let’s start with a running list:
- Preschool Easter Hunt
- Chocolate bunnies
- Shattered pelvis
- Tyler’s family birthday celebration
- Baby stuff
Tyler had his preschool Easter party and hunt, which I was late to because of construction on the highway. If you know anything about this age, the hunt last all of about 3 minutes. I managed to get a few pictures. It was hot as Hades outside, so once Tyler had his eggs, we jet.
The next morning, we headed out to my parents’ house for the weekend. Ah yes, the last weekend for a while as a three person family! I should have gotten a family picture, but I hardly had the energy to take pictures period. In the past few days, my pelvis has felt like someone took a sledgehammer to it, so between the hot weather (to me at least) and the fact that walking, sitting, and sleeping is no longer a luxury, I was not in the most fabulous of moods.
My dad, who just had knee replacement surgery, offered to let me sleep in his recliner which helped half of the night, but then I got tired of sleeping in the same position. Needless to say, there wasn’t much sleep going on. Tyler always wakes up early at my parent’s house, so I heard him around 6:45 and like a zombie, I got out of bed and mumbled a few things. He insisted in dressing immediately, so at 7 in the morning he was dressed for the day!
These are some pictures that I frankly don’t remember taking.
He got too much candy plus a McQueen car.
And then I went back to sleep :)
A few hours later, we headed over to my Grandmother’s house for lunch, Easter egg hunts, a birthday celebration for Tyler, and baby presents. By the way, my entire family now knows the baby’s name. Did you know that four year olds don’t keep secrets? ;) Especially when asked.
Let me state that he was the only one to eat this cake. He spit all over it.
Whew…
And I even left out the bathroom brawl I got into….
