It feels like just yesterday I was in the hospital! Today, we took Ryan to the doctor for his 1 week checkup. At birth, he weighed 6lbs 14 oz. Leaving the hospital, he weighed 6lbs 6 oz. Today at his visit, he was up to 6 lbs 9 oz. We have another appointment scheduled for next Wednesday to check his weight with hopes to get it up closer to birth weight. Since I'm nursing, we discussed pumping first and then letting him feed so that he gets the "hindmilk" (which is more caloric). Since he's not eating but a few ounces at a feeding, and I'm producing much more than that, I have a freezer full of milk already!

He's doing great and is a sweet, sweet baby. Today he found his thumb. Wonder if he will be a thumb sucker? Tyler was not!
And just moments ago, Ryan lost his umbilical cord stump. It took Tyler four weeks to lose his! So, stay tuned. Ryan’s first bath is on the way!
