Well, this appointment couldn't come at a better time! I needed a refill on my Zofran badly! I'm pretty sure that's why I've suffered so badly the past days. Phenergan on its own is just not as effective. Josh drove me to my appt this morning while I dry heaved into a bowl. Hungry anyone?
Anyway, the baby is of course doing great seeing as I'm sick 24/7 :) However, I always go in guarded never knowing or expecting anything. Heartbeat is still strong. I saw a female doctor today who sympathized with me for 15 minutes about how awful nausea/vomiting is. She's had three kids of her own and threw up every day of her pregnancies. So, she cried with me! As of this morning, I hadn't held a single thing down in 24 hours, so I was tired, weak, and emotional! She increased my dosage of Zofran to 3x a day at 8mg. And gave me orders to drink Coke! Random, but she said that the syrup in coke can help ease nausea. I'm not even a Coke drinker (too sweet) but I sure did buy one on the way home while waiting for my prescriptions to be filled. Oh, and yes I started gaining weight. I knew I had based on my thighs and butt! To date, I've gained around 6lbs. Of course, I probably lost a lb or 2 in the past day! I've wanted to work out but my sciatic nerve has reallly prevented me from doing that. Just walking on Sunday around a park sent me into major pain that night where I couldn't even walk without cringing. So, perhaps yoga??
The most exciting news is that the big ultrasound is now scheduled for Wed, Dec. 16 at 9:15 am. I've thought girl all along, but I think I've changed my guess to a boy. No real reason (well, lower heartbeat two appts in a row probably has something to do with it) but I just have this feeling. Maybe Josh is starting to influence me? Judging from the poll on here and the comments from my friends, girl is definitely the popular guess. But, I'm started to doubt that. Guess we'll see!
