(Eating dinner with Tyler with no references to this at all prior to him stating it)
Tyler: "I need a haircut."
Mommy: "You need a haircut?"
Tyler" "I need a haircut."
(In the car on the way to preschool, and Tyler is playing with a stuffed zebra)
Tyler: "The zebra's hair is pretty, mommy."
Mommy: "Is it?"
Tyler: "He go nite nite now."
(Reading a Dr. Seuss book at bedtime)
Tyler: "Dat's Paw Paw!" (pointing at a goat with glasses)
Tyler: "What's dat?" (pointing to a price tag on the floor)
Mommy: "It's a price tag. When you buy clothes, you take them off when you get home"
(next morning..price tag is still on the floor)
Tyler: (biting the price tag) I bite the price tag, mommy. (instead of "buy" it).
Mommy: (sees a spider in the bathtub) Let's drown it in the water and down the drain.
Tyler: (5 mins later and running up to me) "There's a bug in the bathtub."
Mommy: "No there's not, it went down the drain."
Tyler: "There's a bug in the bathtub."
Mommy: (walking into the bathroom and seeing the spider still in there) Ok well, good thing I have you to tell me! (flushes it down the toilet)
(next night at bathtime)
Tyler: "I no want to take a bath"
Mommy: "Why?"
Tyler: "I scared of the bug."
The "Stinky game"
For whatever reason one afternoon, Tyler and I started calling everything stinky. So, now out of the blue he does it. "Stinky oatmeal, stinky waffle, stinky Daddy, stinky Mimi (sorry Mimi), stinky corndog, stinky....(and when he's trying to think of another, he does the long drawn out "stinkyyyyyyy" as if he's thinking of something). He laughs uncontrollably at this game. I'm pretty sure this game
"It's broke"
Anytime something doesn't work, it's either "broke" or "it needs new batteries." And daddy is always supposed to fix it.
The "Where's....." and "What's dat......" game
I'm pretty sure we've entered the curiousity stage. I hear him ask these two questions over and over again constantly! I guess next is "Why?"
Poots and Burps
Do I need to explain? Boys (and grown men) find this both fasciniating and hilarious, and Tyler loves to announce whenever he does either.
Ah...the joys of a 3 year old redheaded boy.
