Before going to bed Christmas Eve, I told Tyler not to get us up before 6am. So, around 5:30am I heard him get up and use the bathroom. I waited to see if he would come in to get us, but he didn't. At exactly 6:00am, he came into our room and screamed, "It's Christmas!" I told him to climb in bed and wait for Ryan to get up (which I knew had to be pretty soon). Within about 10 minutes, I heard Ryan, so we all managed our way out of bed. But not before brushing our teeth. Josh INSISTED that we brush our teeth first, ha!
I climbed my way past this obstacle course to take a picture of the boys at the top of the staircase.
Ready...set...
GO!
And the exploring began!
Ryan got a hand-me-down police car power wheels!
..and he got a fire station from Santa!
Tyler got his beloved Nintendo 3DS from Santa!
Stocking stuffers!
And Walker was not left out!
Josh and I opened our presents from the boys that were hand-picked by them with the help of Grandma LeConey.
A new wrench
New jewelry
And daddy got a little surprise from mommy...
A new Kindle Paperwhite
After opening presents, it was STILL dark outside so we had a big breakfast which included eggs, bacon, fruit, and cinnamon rolls! Tyler played his 3DS most of the morning, but when it was a decent time outside, we headed out to try out the new car!
We lounged around until around 10:30am (ok well maybe I did...the others had baths way before then)! After packing up, we headed to my parents' house to open family presents.
Ryan got pajamas and puzzles.
and both boys got swords!
Tyler got some games for his 3DS
...and Star Wars toys
After opening presents there, we headed over to my grandmother's house for more present opening and for a big dinner! This was the first year we started late at her house. We typically do lunch and get there in the morning, but we were lucky to be able to push things out so that we could hang out at our house for the morning!
Tyler finally got the game he's been waiting for all day--Mario Paper Sticker Star!
Ryan got a firetruck pillow for his new bed!
We think he likes it ;)
My grandmother received an ornament with all her great grandchildren's names on it.
Ryan stealing my iPhone!
Playing dress up ...but with boy heroes ;)
Most of Tyler's Christmas revolved around his 3DS...but he was thrilled!
A video highlighting our morning is below. We had a great Christmas day!
I'm a mommy to two redheaded little boys who have a lot of spunk and a lot of love. I work full time outside the home and practice photography part-time. I love to write about my kids and the crazy life lessons I learn. I hope you enjoy reading!
