I also got to meet my friend, Karen’s, daughter for the first time. I cannot believe at 6 months I had not met her, but our availability never matched up. So, when she was down at the beach the same time as us, the kids and I drove around the block to see her! Ryan was particularly interested in Anna’s nose.
It’s hard to imagine that we’ve been out of college for eight years now and are married with two kids!
Speaking of friends, my other friend, Kara, and her girls were down at the beach the same week as us, so we had a pool playdate one day!
Finally, in the past years we’ve tried to get group family pictures, so here is this year’s beach picture followed by our immediate family picture.
Well folks, that concludes my coverage of our beach vacation 2011. Next year we are going to Ocean Isle Beach for the first time since I was a tiny child. A nine bedroom, nine bathroom ocean front house with a pool will be our escape. Let’s just hope good sleep is in the cards!
