Kindergarten Registration!

Yesterday I registered Tyler for kindergarten at the new school they are building up the road from us. The hours of registration were from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm.  I rolled in around 5 thinking this would be a quick and painless process.  Wow, I did not realize that walking out I'd feel like my hand was going numb from all of the paperwork.  I took Tyler with me so he could be a part of it.  Good thing they had some activities for kids set up to distract him!  I was really not in the mindset to think about his need for riding a bus.  I ended up writing "I have no idea!"  Most likely, I would take him and either myself, Josh, or a neighbor would pick him up after school.  There were so many "what ifs" due to the fact that we could be moving before August!  It was a little nerve wracking to be filling out the forms not knowing if he would end up going to that school or not...and then having no clue what district we would be in where we move.  Unfortunately, we missed the deadline to apply for the magnet school we wanted to try and get Tyler into  But even if we stay here, we think this school will be great from what we hear.  Tyler left with a new friend and a packet of items provided by the school (kindergarten book, ABC fridge magnets, dry/erase board, play-doh, etc).  So, only time will tell which school he goes to.  But one thing's for sure...he will be a kindergartener in August!

P.S.  He is already practicing graduation at his preschool.  It is supposed to be a secret what they are practicing.  However, I heard him singing "Wind beneath my wings" in his room the other day.  When he came out, I asked "is that for graduation?"   He said, "Oh, pretend you didn't hear that!"  :)
