Since Josh is scheduled to work next weekend, which is the weekend of Tyler’s actual birthday, we scheduled Tyler’s party for this past weekend. Since I was sick all week, when Friday rolled around, I was scrounging for favor bags and baking cupcakes until 10pm! I was WIPED! But look how cute the cupcakes turned out! Tyler had picked out a Spiderman theme. I thought I’d make cupcakes and save money. Wrong. See that black icing? It took FIVE tubes at $4 a piece to do these! Plus the cost of the rings on top and the cake mix. But I know Tyler loved them, so I guess that’s all that matters right?!
We had it at a local inflatable jumping place that we enjoy because it’s small, intimate, and close by. Tyler and his friends started the party at 10am and jumped for a good hour!
Tyler racked up with presents ranging from a Spiderman bookbag, LeapFrog Scribble and Write, preschool workbooks, matchbox cars, sandals, a new outfit, Spiderman figurines and car, a set of two DVDs, wireless drum sticks, and more!
When it came time to sing Happy Birthday, Tyler gave this look. Apparently, he likes to sing to others but not a fan of being the center of attention!
We managed to grab a family photo before we left. You can see how cooperative Tyler was.
After the party was over, we, along with Mimi, cousin Kaitlyn, and Grandma LeConey, went to a local pizza place to eat lunch.
Overall, it was a great birthday party. We are thankful to all that could come and celebrate with us!
