I am 22 weeks now and have another appt next Wednesday. I'll do an update then as well. I'm feeling the baby move a lot now, though it would be hard to have someone else feel it other than me at this point unless they happened to already have their hand in the right spot! I still have to take meds every day. If I don't, it really doesn't go over well :) This is definitely a change from my first pregnancy. I stopped taking meds at 17 weeks with Tyler. Oh well, hopefully they wouldn't prescribe them if they weren't safe! I still have moments where I feel nauseous, but it's not bad at all compared to what I've been through! I definitely have to eat as soon as I get hungry. Waiting too long has also proven to backfire! I've had some heartburn as well, though mostly it is relieved by Tums.
I have mood swings like a crazy, insane woman. Josh loves it.
From the beginning, I've had some back issues. I went to a chiropractor twice which seemed to help the sciatica I was feeling. However, I'm getting to the point in my pregnancy that things are just moving and there is more pressure. So, I've realized that I can't sit for very long. Of course with working, I sit at a desk all day. So, I have to try and remember to get up and walk around about every 30 mins to an hour. Rolling over in bed is exactly as I remember with my first pregnancy-painful. Usually, I just grin and bear it. Even with a pregnancy pillow, just moving my hip and legs over to either roll to my other side or get out of bed is not comfortable. There are places that hurt that are not fun! :)
Yesterday, I decided to try and work out again. Early, early on in my pregnancy I continued to work out but as you all know, I got sick really fast and for a long time! Once that subsided, my back was really hurting. So, I haven't been able to work out like I had hoped this pregnancy. Yesterday, I had the goal just to go up and stretch really good. After 15 mins of stretching, I decided to try light weights (5lbs). After that, I decided to give the elliptical a try since it's lower impact than the treadmill. 12 minutes into it, I had to make myself stop. I was on a roll! But, I was scared to overdo it since it had been so long. So, I hope that I can do that a few times a week even if it's a low resistance and for only 15-20 mins.
I've had some insomnia, which is not entirely fun. Last night I did manage to sleep well though. A few other nights I would lie awake from 3am-6am only to then have to get up for work.
It's funny how people gain weight differently. With me, I know that I gain it all over regardless of what my friends want to tell me. I know I gain it in my face, arms, thighs, and butt. Genetics I suppose. And of course in pregnancy, your chest and belly grows. I've always thought it to be humorous how pregnant women turn into a spectacle to the public. I remember this well with my last pregnancy, and I tend to react to it about the same this pregnancy. While I realize that people love to have something to talk about, the idea that my belly is a main topic is really not all that flattering to me. Perhaps that's my mentality because I know many people just LOVE their growing belly. And don't get me wrong, I do too. I'd just rather it not be the topic of discussion ALL the time. The "wow, you sure did grow over the weekend" and the "goodness, will there be any more room to grow?" comments aren't really my favorites. And of course, you always have those people who think they are complimenting you but really aren't. Twice from people I see daily, I've heard "your face is really filling out!" Um. Thanks. :)
**update: I just had to edit this post to tell you the latest comment from the breakroom.
"ok, why don't you just stop beating around the bush and pop that baby out."
Gotta love it. And yes, that was from a man.
Tyler still tells us that he also has a baby in his belly, however he has accepted that the one being born is a boy :) He tells me that our babies are "cooking." He got a few big brother books for Christmas that talk about what babies need, how it affects the family, etc. He's been really interested and just doesn't understand why the baby can't come now. So, we go back to the conversation about the baby growing and well...."cooking."
On the name front, I can say we are making progress. I was very anxious at first to find a name, but I began to back down. Our white erase board list of 10 names is dwindling down. I'd take a bet that we are now between two names.
But you'll just have to wait to find out ;)

You are moving right along...I can't believe you are 22 weeks already! Is it going fast for you?
LOL at the baby "cooking" B&C always talked about when my belly was going to "POP" and baby T would come flying out of my mouth. :)
Oh, now I am so curious about the baby name! I just read BabyCenter's top 100 names and got great ideas for future children that I will never have because I never want to be pregnant again. :-) Feel the same way, too, huh? Congrats on being over halfway- and on working out! I just started working out this week after being on hiatus since last April. :-)
Jennifer, no it's not flying by. I thought it would this time! haha :)
Jaclyn, I don't think one of our choices is on that list. The other definitely is.
