Today's appt went well. I was there for a LONG time. Lots of paperwork and medical history. I had another ultrasound to show that everything looked well. The baby's heartbeat was in the 170s (girl?????). Tyler never had a heartbeat over 160, and if you believe the old wives tale, a higher heartbeat is a girl!?!? Who knows!
We talked about how I'd need to have an echo done around 19-20 weeks due to Tyler's "heart history." That will be done at Duke. She also discussed that if I choose to have another c-section, which I will, that they will do it at 39 weeks. So, we are roughly looking at a delivery date around May 5. The pro of this is that I can ultimately pick my doctor unless there are vacations scheduled. But there is plenty of time to discuss that!
I have a ultrasound picture that I'll scan in later. Really, at this stage it's not that much to look at :) But it's still amazing. I'm still nauseous, but it's become as manageable as it can be right now. I'm taking the Zofran during the day and the Phenergan at night. I hope this child doesn't come out drugged!
Oh, and how could I forget the needles in my arm! As always, they can never find a vein in my arms. She tried on the top of my hand and as she poked me (which hurt WAY worse than an arm) she said "oh gosh, we need to stop this before your vein bursts!" Nice. So, I already have a huge bruise there. They finally found a vein in my arm and got around 5-6 viles of blood. Luckily, I don't have to do that again until around 19 weeks!
My first official dr visit is October 21 at 9:50am. I should be 11 weeks then.

Great delivery date...that is my birthday! Congratulations!!!
I hope this doesn't burst a bubble, but Russell's heart rate got up to 174 at one point! But obviously girls can have high heart rates too! Glad everything is going well :)
