- No, I'm still not happy with my blog background. I can't help it. As a kid, I rearranged my room monthly. As an adult, I rearrange my living room quarterly even though there are only two options. I seem to flip flop just for laughs and giggles. And to throw off my husband.
- We met with the Preschool Services Director on Monday. Long story short, I answered a lot of questions and signed a lot of forms. They have 90 days to evaluate him and get back to me with their findings of whether or not he qualifies. That, ladies and gentlemen, means that around Thanksgiving, I will know an answer.
- In the meantime, I have amazingly managed to teach my child in my spare time how to correctly pronounce "apple," "birthday," "frog," "yes," and "yellow." This is huge in case you are unimpressed. I finally figured out that he hates it when I try to tell him he's doing it wrong. Wait a minute, don't most guys? I just now repeat what he says, he realizes it sounds ridiculous (i.e. "wes" for "yes"), and he wants to say it right. We are getting there. I'm no pro, but I can try what I can to help out.
- Tyler. never. forgets. a. thing. For example, nearly two months ago Josh took him up the road to the elementary school playground to play just the two of them. Afterwards, he rode up and got them both lunch. Now, every morning as we drive to preschool, Tyler tells me "we played there! (pointing to the playground), and we ate hot dogs, french fries, and ketchup!"
- Tyler is a pee holder. Seriously, do all kids do this? Wait to the last minute and then explode? Seems like a stressful life to live.
- I love fall weather. I wish it would stick around.
- Tyler told his teacher yesterday that someone else's underwear was his. He came home wearing it. It had cars on it. Are we surprised? And grossed out?
- I'm going to the mountains in T-minus 2 months with no one but girls.
- Yesterday, someone made me so mad on the phone at work that I was shaking for an hour. She was rude, ignorant, and slighly ghetto.
- We have no plans for Labor Day (not that we ever do), and I love it. We are one of the few that does not jet off along with the other millions. Don't do it for the 4th or Memorial Day either. Josh is off this weekend, and Friday night we already have plans to have a family movie night. Bolt is the movie choice.
