Summer is coming to a close...

I remember when Tyler ended kindergarten back in May and thinking how long of a summer it will be trying to keep Tyler entertained and cared for!  I had to make a special "Where are my Kids Today" calendar to get it all straight!  Summer breaks for working parents are for the birds!  However, we have managed over the summer and done quite well.  Tyler's stayed with Josh  most of the days and shown his true independent self in the mornings while Josh would sleep after night shift.  One week, I discovered that Tyler had eaten an entire box of cereal bars, fruit snacks, and three popcicles in a matter of 1-2 days while Josh slept.  That was at the peak of his summer growth spurt.  But I'm sure a lot of that was due to boredom too!  Fair or not, we did make him replace these items using his own money because uh...we didn't plan on him eating half of our pantry when he had a full breakfast a mere hour before!

Tyler's "Meet the Teacher" is tonight, however he is spending the week with my parents.  So, while it's a little disappointing that he won't be able to meet his teacher and see his school, I have a pretty go-with-the-flow child.

Ryan is doing incredible at his new preschool.  The level of communication, organization, structure, and love is great!  I love peeking in on him occasionally via the webcam.  The grandparents like this option too!  While we are paying over $100 more a week for this preschool, it is evident why.

We are still loving our new location.  I love it more and more each week.  I love the convenience and the neighborhood.  I cannot wait until the weather cools down so that we can all hang outside!  Everyone we have met has been so welcoming and nice.  I''m so glad we found this home.

My photography business is picking up again for the fall like it did last year, which is good since the proceeds will be paying for our "New Jersey" trip.  ;)

Here are a few random pictures to share :)

A beautiful rainbow outside our house

Ryan doing his daily laps around the living room on his tractor!

Popcicles on the front porch were a weekly thing this summer!
Walker may be missing our acre, but he loves sunbathing in our afternoon lighting ;)

These two have been great playmates lately!
