After getting back from the beach, Ryan started preschool. As I expected, he was none too thrilled with the idea, and the first day he cried for most of the morning. I know this because I watched him on the internet cam! But, he has been doing much better and only crying at dropoffs. His preschool has been great, and we love his teachers and their structure! Ryan gets to eat in the school's cafe like a big boy! They are working diligently with all of the kids on potty training by taking them every hour. Ryan hasn't made a ton of progress compared to the other kids, but he is sitting on the potty. Regardless, this is much earlier than with Tyler!
Tyler is still on summer break and enjoying it. But not long into the break, we realized that he really craves structure! He went to summer camp at Ryan's preschool for a few days one week where he went on two field trips. He is also spending time with both sets of grandparents and getting totally spoiled! School will be starting in just a few weeks, and I think he is ready! However, getting him to wake up in the mornings will be a different story!
Our new house is doing great. We have almost finished the kitchen. We got new appliances soon after moving in, and right after returning from the beach we got granite put in. All that is left is backsplash! I'm loving our house and our neighborhood! It's still so surreal to me how centralized we are to everything!
Also after returning from the beach, we joined a local swim club. Josh and I have been on an exercise regiment of at least three to four times a week. I love have a variety of classes to take as well as full access to equipment. The pool is outstanding and is complete with a huge splash playground, lazy river, and huge slide! The bars aren't too bad either. ;)
Being the perfectionist that I am, I'll post pictures of each room of the house once EVERYTHING is complete. :)
