First Day of FIRST GRADE!

Today Tyler walked into a new school in a new city and in a new grade.  I never have to worry about him adjusting to new things because he takes every new opportunity and handles it gracefully!  However, getting this boy up on his first day...that was a different story.  He has been sleeping until 8 or even 9:00 am this summer, so making him get up at 7:30 this morning was not easy! 

I tried.

And tried.

And eventually got this look.

Yep, late mornings are out of the door! Even his brother who's been sleeping late lately had a hard time getting up!

After a shower, he got dressed and headed down for blueberry waffles!

The obligatory first day of school pictures was most definitely taken...

Grandma LeConey arrived, and we headed to school to walk him into his classroom.  Upon entering we surveyed the door and found his name.

And Tyler put up his bookbag.

And upon leaving, he managed a smile for his mamma!

 

He had a great day, and even though he is a boy of little details I did learn a few facts about his day.  According to him, the best part of the day was lunch.  Go figure!
