Leap Year!

Today is leap day which has thrown me off all month.  Not only did I write my wall calendar with the wrong dates, but it affected a few events this month as well!  This morning, I read up on the rationale of why we have leap years because I couldn't seem to remember the point of it.  No worries.  I'm now enlightened.

Life has been a little crazy.  Not over-the-top crazy, but just crazy enough to make me feel like I don't have a lot of time for blogging.  Our house is officially on the market, and surprisingly one day after putting it on MLS, we had a showing.  I think it was total luck, but hopefully it will be an indication that this selling period will be better than that of 2010/2011.

Tyler is turning six in less than a month which blows my mind.  I've been busy pinning superhero birthday ideas on Pinterest, designing his birthday invitation, and exploring other ideas to keep it fun.  I also realized that this means I need to get on the ball with his yearly video.  I usually have it all together at this point.  Not so much this year.  I even asked Tyler if he really wanted me to do one.  His answer was "I always want one."  While I know that at 13 years old, he will totally disagree, I suppose I should at least continue for now.

Ryan...my dear Ryan.  He is a total mess.  And he is totally hitting the "terrible twos."  The tantrums are in full gear, and I work on my patience most every day.  He fights meal time, arguing that he wants something else to eat.  Even before we get to meal time, he demands to eat the second we walk through the front door, leaving me running to get food on the table.  He wants to watch TV more than I want him to.  He wants his paci to calm down when we are trying to limit it to the crib and car only.  He screams "mommy!!!" when I turn a corner.  He throws a fit when I change his diaper.  And he totally knows when Josh is not in the house.  He hits.  He throws.  He kicks.

Who the heck is this child?  Tyler wasn't like this.  But wait....He's not Tyler is he?!  It's that "second child" thing.  But aside from the ever-so-stressful tantrums, he is quite a character and quite an adorable child, and I love that kid dearly!

O yes, the only answer is exactly what you wrote...'It's that 2nd child thing!" ;) ;)
