Our Weekend

Josh planned a belated Valentine's Day weekend since he was out of town on the actual holiday.  We don't normally do much to celebrate, but we were in need of some time together and away from the kids.  So, Saturday around noon we set off and left the boys with their grandma!  I didn't know where we were off to, but I was soon very pleasantly surprised!

Stop 1:  We went to do a little bit of shopping.  Nothing says "relaxation" than some retail therapy!

Stop 2:   Josh dropped me off to get a relaxing pedicure and manicure while he checked us into our hotel.

Stop 3:  He picked me up and we went to our hotel, which was awesome!  We stayed at the new Embassy Suites in Brier Creek and was very pleasantly surprised at the modern chicness of it! 

Stop 4:  After getting ready, we headed to Brasa, a Brazillian restaurant in Brier Creek.  Let's just say that this is not a place for vegetarians!  They bring out 12 different cuts of meat on a spear!  It was fantastic but way too much food!

Stop 5:  We headed back to the hotel and enjoyed free drinks courtesy of the hotel.  We talked and felt like a couple rather than parents for the evening!  The next morning we enjoyed a free breakfast inside the hotel.

Stop 6:  Unfortunately, we had to cut our weekend short because we had a house showing Sunday at 12:30.  So, we came back to pick up the house and then leave with the boys for a long lunch!  Fortunately, the showing went well and they may come back again to see it.  As a side note, we've had a lot of traffic in the past month with house showings!

This weekend was fun and much needed!  While we love our kids, we couldn't help but sing the tune "back to life, back to reality" as we drove off to lunch with two loud kids in the backseat!  But we wouldn't have our weekend end any other way!
