Pitter, Patter, Pitter, Patter. That's the newest sound I hear around 6:45 each morning. Ever since we've moved Tyler to a big boy bed, it's great b/c he will wake up, get out of bed, open his door, and well....pitter patter across the hardwoods. We sleep with our door open, so I hear him without needing to have a monitor anymore. Luckily, when I hear this sound across the floors I know that he is not going for me but for his toys in the living room. Each morning he goes to the coffee table and places his mickey figurines into the car and vrooms them across the table. This goes on for about 30 minutes until one stubborn figurine gets stuck which in turn sends my little redhead into a frenzy. At this point, he figures it out but he is now turned off and mad at the innocent little figurines. Meanwhile in my warm and cozy big girl bed I doze off and on catching at least 30 more minutes of snoozing time. Tyler comes in giggling and staring at me. "Juice, mommy?"
Hey, at least I can trust him not to destroy the house each morning. After all, he's definitely capable of it.

I'm glad that his big boy bed is getting you some extra sleep in the morning. When Lillie gets up, she crawls out of her crib and immediately into bed with us. So much for the extra sleep in our house.
