The Friday 411

Here's the 411 on our lives:

We have our house inspection next Wednesday on the house we are buying.  We are getting excited!

We've filled out paperwork to register Tyler in Wake County schools.  I was ready to do the registering today, but I realized that I couldn't find Tyler's certified birth certificate!  So, I went this morning to the Office of Deeds to get both his and Ryan's.  As a side note, I hadn't ever gotten Ryan's!  ha!

I've been clearing out closets of old clothes and shoes that I don't need anymore.  I'm actually really terrified of the disaster existing under our bed.  There will be a lot of organizing and purging going on!

Not one moving box has been packed.  Procrastinator I'm not.  But we haven't had any boxes to start the process.  Plus, I have no idea how to do this without Ryan trying to climb on the boxes!

Walker...sweet Walker.  He has been wearing out his welcome lately.  A puppy he is.  The chewed shoe count is at four.  He's eaten a few of Tyler's toys.  And he play bites and scratches. Some days I grow deaf hearing the kids scream at the dog and/or cry.  It's a love/hate relationship.  Puppies...they are work, ya'll.  I might as well have another toddler.

I'm still doing photography but honestly should probably not be!  I'm taking a break in June and July to focus on the move and summer.  My last session is tomorrow but I have a list of people ready to book at the end of July/beginning of August.  I just booked a wedding in October which totally scares the jeepers out of me.  But luckily it's informal...and totally going to pay for living room furniture.

Tyler is gearing up for his last three weeks of kindergarten.  Can this possibly be true?  His award ceremony is in a few weeks.  He will have a month "vacation" before potentially starting first grade at the beginning of July.  That's year-round school schedules for ya!  He will have to miss his second week of school, however, because we already have a vacation planned.

Things are moving along, and Josh and I are trying to keep our heads above waters as we try to get the logistics of changing towns, houses, schools, preschools, doctors, etc under control...among other responsibilities!

I'll close by saying that Josh got Tyler's hair cut into a Mohawk.  Not a "fo-hawk, folks.  A true Mohawk.  I'll refrain from posting pictures because it might frighten you.  Apparently I'm in the minority of those who dislike it.  Given Tyler's beautiful red hair, his head now slightly resembles a large flame going down his scalp.  It's so sad to me.  If we had a full sofa, Josh would have been on it that night.  But we don't, and I fell asleep before him anyway.  Hair grows fast.  I need to loosen up, but man...cut this momma a break! Did I mention that Tyler had a chorus performance that night?
