Our Life Update

This weekend, Josh was on day shift, so the boys and I couldn't be happier for beautiful North Carolina weather in the lower 70s!  We started Saturday morning with Tyler's soccer practice and met Grandma LeConey there.  Here you can see that my almost five-year old was ready to go!

He did really well again and on our way home we stopped at Wendy's and brought lunch home.  Of course, I got the grilled chicken sandwich to stay on my Weight Watchers plan!  However, as a side note I have over 40 pts this weekend left over!  Anyway, Ryan seems to fall asleep on the way home from soccer which throws his nap schedule off the rest of the day.  Despite the loudness from his big brother, he passes out cold!  So, Saturdays are not good nap days at our house so far!

After his measly 30 minute nap in his crib (which was a major fight), we played outside in the beautiful weather.  Ryan is still getting used to the texture of grass.  We really need to get him shoes that fit.  Our Robeez shoes are missing.  And he will not keep regular shoes on!  So, his socks get pretty dirty!  Here are a few pictures from our weekend outdoors!

On the house front, we haven't had any interested buyers.  The entire process, I've wavered back and forth about what is right for us.  We have a great house here with a lot of land and reliable neighbors.  And we just found out that we are in the district for the brand new elementary school they are building up the road that opens in the fall.  The principal from another school is transferring there and from what I hear she is excellent.  On the downside, and what makes me want to move, is that we need more room.  We really need some form of a bonus room.  Ok, we don't have to have this, but I really need more room! :)  I want to live near things, and we love Wake Forest because it's not quite as busy as Raleigh, but it's  more than where we are now.  The neighborhood where we are looking is mature, has a community pool and play area, and is located very conveniently on the road that I would take into Durham.  We've found a house we like a lot, but of course we can't do a thing until our house sells.  We have not reduced our price, but we are considering doing it come May.  It comes down to how much we really want to make a change. Our cost of living will increase by moving.  Daycare, city taxes, water/sewer are all things we either don't pay now or pay much less than what we would there.  So, I really struggle with what the right answer is.  I know that whatever happens though, we are not left with a "bad" result!  And, that's a relief!

Next weekend, Tyler will be celebrating his birthday with his friends at Monkey Joes.  He is beyond ecstatic!  We can't believe in two short weeks, he will be turning five!  I've been a little behind on making his yearly video but it's coming along slowly!  My life is a little crazier than past years!  :)

That's about it.  Life is good!  We are all healthy!  I guess that's about all I can ask for!
