We need a little Christmas, right this very minute

As soon as Thanksgiving was over, we were in high gear to get ready for Christmas.  Even Josh was on board and volunteered to hang lights on our roof this year.  I just had to make him promise to take them down afterward. :)
The first thing we started was our Advent Calendar.  We have two this year, one given by Grandma LeConey and one that Tyler got as a Christmas present last year.  Tyler is enjoying the special “treats” in each door, and it’s a nice way to count down the days until Christmas.

The next exciting thing was the arrival of Fred, our Elf!  Our Elf came to visit our house for the first time last year and was talked about in detail HERE.  This year, Fred has come back and kicked of December 1st with a small present and a letter explaining to Tyler what he will be doing.

Tyler woke up the morning of December 1st and immediately ran in to see where the Elf was sitting in our house and was thrilled to find him, the letter, and of course the present!

And of course, he had to explain to Ryan who Fred, the Elf was!

Last, due to the free Shutterfly cards I got from writing a blog review, my Christmas cards have already started to go out!

Tyler’s school has a lot of really fun activities planned in the next few weeks.  Next Friday, I am going on their field trip to a local mall to see Santa, get a picture, ride the train and carousel, eat lunch at Chick-Fil-A and do other fun activities!  In addition, his school Christmas program, party, and gift exchange is Dec. 17.  He’s been singing Christmas songs and telling me the story of Christmas and “mommy, did Jesus have a Spiderman birthday party?”
“Well, Tyler probably not but I bet he would have loved one.”
Stay tuned for more Christmas updates Smile
