A week from blogging is long for me, but I was super busy last week and then almost welcomed the break from the computer when I didn’t have to be on it. This is very rare for me, but it was almost therapeutic not to be on it!
So, here’s the rundown on what’s going on in our family.
We’ve all been sick. Josh started with the cold, and he had it for a good 2 weeks. He then gave it to Tyler, who can handle sicknesses pretty well. So, other than the Children’s Mucinex that he took (4 and up!!), he was fine and was never really affected. Ryan, however, ended up getting it too. We resorted to sleeping in the carseat and lots of saline spray and suctioning. He really is a trooper. After the first couple of nights in the carseat, he was fine sleeping propped up in the crib. He’s sleeping fine but still has the cold. Eventually, I got it but was able to majorly reduce the time by taking Zicam.
Friday, my parents took the kids (yes, both) so that I could celebrate my 30th bday a week early. As hard as it was to let them go (especially with Ryan sick), it was great having two full days just being married and not being a mommy! Friday was spent with friends (martinis and pedicures, lunch, shopping, and dinner).
I will refrain from admitting that I found out everything that was planned. It takes real talent to hide secrets from me.
Saturday, Josh and I had lunch at PF Chang’s, did some shopping, cooked dinner, and rented a movie. We got the kids back early Sunday morning!
Ryan has two teeth now. I keep missing them when they come in! He is rolling and is now pretty close to sitting up by himself! He’s eaten applesauce, sweet potatoes, and carrots and loved all of them!
Tyler is doing well in school. They give us the lesson plans each week and how we can help at home. He even has little homework assignments each week!
We haven’t had a single showing on our house yet, but it’s ok with us. We really aren’t in a hurry and would definitely not want to be out of our house before the holidays if we could help it…not that it’s looking that way anyway ;)
That’s it for now!
