The wait is over! We had our anatomy ultrasound this morning at 9:15 and everything looked great! I was so anxious to find out that the baby was growing as it should that I was caught off guard when up popped "it's a boy" on the screen! Tyler still insists that he is getting a baby sister and is still telling everyone this, but we know it will sink it soon :) He went to school with his own picture the tech printed just for him. After the ultrasound, Tyler asked the tech if mommy and baby were OK. It was really cute! I think I kinda knew last night as I was reading a book to Tyler that this one would be another boy. Out of the blue, Tyler loves to just tell me he loves me and give me hugs, and he did that last night after starting to read a book. It was kind of my last "a ha" moment. So, I would have been more shocked to see "girl" written on the screen today. We are all happy that above all we have a healthy baby.
I've gained a total of 13 lbs. Wahoo! Way less than Tyler at this point!
I go back Jan. 13 for my next visit. (23 weeks)
I will have a fetal echo cardiogram done on Jan. 22 to look at the baby's heart. Even though everything was fine today, they are doing it b/c of Tyler's heart history.
With a tad sadness, I'm tucking away my dream of dresses, tea parties, dancing, and my girl name I've had picked out for months. Gosh, it was a good one! But they say that everything happens for a reason, and I know that God chose me to have two boys that will ultimately make ME the queen with dresses and bows in the house. I can take that!
Now...let's just hope for brown hair :) Come on kid! Give credit to your momma! You've put me through a lot so far!
Here are the pictures below. We're still discussing names, so nothing is set as of yet :)
