My Boys, 7 and 3

Tyler has become quite the reader!  While we had put a hold on the Captain Underpants series, we let him start reading it again, and he literally reads a book over the course of a few nights!  I constantly see him reading at bedtime when he should be sleeping.  But how do you discipline that?

He is starting to challenge us more and more these days.  The eye rolling has started, and half the time I am not sure if he hears anything we say.  It's so hard to stay patient most days with him.  But overall, he really is a good kid!

He is discovering girls.  It's so crazy, but he is not only discovering them, he is developing "game!"  He continuously tells us that a few particular ones are just "friends," which is completely how we want it anyway!

He is our little man.  Smart.  Witty.  Sweet.

And then there is Ryan.  He constantly amazes me at how well-spoken he is and just how much of a
charmer he is to everyone around him.  He is our Mr. Personality!  Once he turned three, however, he inherited Tyler's crazy tantrums that we used to deal with.  The uncontrollable, screaming, shaking, almost seizure looking ones.  Ryan is stubborn.  Like super stubborn.  I have no idea who he gets that from.  ;)

He loves to do whatever Tyler is doing....and do it better than him and without anyone's help.  He is loveable and independent.  He is obsessed with trucks off all kinds, and the best day is trash day when he can witness the garbage man take our trash.  Each night we read an array of truck-themed goodnight books.

He. is. all. boy.

Together, they are two incredibly sweet redheaded boys who make me proud to be a mother.  Their mother.  Even if I'm the brunette of the family. ;)
